The trek to Ettina Bhuja commences from the Nanibaireshwara Temple, and previously there used to be an entry fee of Rs. 250. However, due to the locals’ objection, there is currently no entry fee to behold the serene beauty of the place.
The trekking route to Ettina Bhuja can be divided into three distinct sections:
- The first leg takes you from Nanya Bhairaveshwara to the entrance of the forest.
Trek Distance: 800 m
Trek Duration: 15 minutes
- The second leg is from the forest to the second viewpoint.
Trek Distance: 600 m
Trek Duration: 15 to 20 minutes
- The final leg is from the second viewpoint, a steep climb almost ascending 80 degrees, leading to the summit of the peak.
Trek Distance: 700 m
Trek Duration: 30 minutes

For a more serene experience and to witness the beautiful golden hour from the peak, it is recommended to begin the trek in the early morning, around 6:00 AM - 6:30 AM. This timing allows you to avoid the crowds and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of Devaramane Betta.
As the trek begins, the peak of Ettina Bhuja is visible right from the starting point. Approximately 800 meters into the trek, trekkers enter a lush forest, where the melodious chirping of birds creates a delightful ambiance. The initial trail is relatively easy to traverse, but as the forest trail concludes, the second viewpoint emerges, and the ascent becomes slightly steeper. Reaching the peak of the trek is truly rewarding. Take in the breathtaking views of Jenukallu Gudda, Ombattu Betta, and Deepadakallu in the southern direction. In the northwest, you'll find the prominent peak of Amedikallu, adding to the natural beauty of this region.
